Baby Chi develops massage, stretching, holding and acupressure techniques for baby as well as stretching and relaxing for parents and carers. It includes massage, shiatsu and yoga techniques.

Shiatsu can be incorporated easily into massage work, either using oil directly on the skin or through the clothes. Techniques include gentle holding, pressure point work and specific meridian stretches and movements. Similarly, Yoga can be applied to babies as extension of Baby Massage incorporating all the benefits of touching along with the joy of movement and the stillness of deep relaxation. You will learn techniques for the practise of yoga for parent and baby.

Regular massage and the techniques we explore in Baby Chi can contribute enormously to your baby's physical, emotional and mental development. It is relaxing and calming both to give and receive and can be useful for symptoms such as teething, colic, restlessness and reactions to vaccinations. Classes are suitable for babies to attend so you do not need worry about your baby crying, feeding or pooing. I am able to provide an informal setting appropriate for you to develop your relationship with your baby as well as with other parents.
